The sun streaming in through the window woke me the next morning. I blinked open my eyes, and the previous night rushed back to me. Penn. His bedroom. Sex. Lots of sex. So much sex that my body hurt when I shifted. And not just between my legs.
But the strange part wasâ¦the heater seemingly attached to my leg.
I lifted the covers and found Totle passed out between me and Penn. His unusually long legs were stretched out until he had shifted us about as far apart as we could be and still both be on the bed. It didnât even make sense that a ten-pound dog could take up so much space. But then he nuzzled against my leg and sighed happily, and I forgot any frustration. He was seriously the cutest puppy in the world.
âYouâre too cute. You know that?â I said as I scratched Totleâs head.
âWhy thank you,â Penn murmured from the other side of the bed.
He rolled over, and those blue eyes cracked open. And for a second, I froze in place. He was still there. Still right where Iâd left him. I knew it was irrational to think that he might have left, even while I was in his place with his dog, but heâd done it once before, and I couldnât stop the fear from seizing me. But it had been unwarranted. He was here. And he was looking at me as if I was the most beautiful thing heâd ever seen.
âGood morning.â I couldnât keep the smile from my face.
âMorning.â He leaned across the bed and pressed his lips against mine. My heart fluttered.
âWell, hello to you too.â
He grinned and kissed me again. âUp for roundâ¦what number were we on?â
I swatted at him. âI think I should check on Mel and Amy. And you should make some coffee.â
âCoffee I can do.â
He wrapped an arm around my waist and slid me across the bed. Totle grumbled and shifted to the end of the bed. I just laughed as Penn pinned me beneath him, dropping his face into my shoulder. His five oâclock shadow scratched against my skin, and his lips kissed the sensitive skin that he knew I was a sucker for.
âPenn, oh my god, if you keep doing thatâ¦â
âWeâll stay in bed all day?â he asked hopefully.
âPossibly,â I said on a laugh.
He slipped under the covers as he kissed and scratched his way down my stomach. I squirmed under his touch, enjoying every second.
He grabbed my panties in both hands. âHow much do you like these?â
âI donât have any more with me!â I cried.
He grinned devilishly and then shredded the underwear between his hands. I gasped in shock as my thong disappeared over the side of the bed.
âI cannot believe you just did that!â
âIâll buy you more,â he said as he dragged his lips down my inner thigh. âAnd now, you have to go commando.â
âYouâre the devil. Pure evil, Penn Kensington.â
He winked at me. âNow youâre getting it.â
He dropped his head between my thighs and squashed any further protest from my lips.
